Thirty children are sent into space on a multi-generational mission to reach a newly discovered planet. When the one adult on board is killed, the young crew descends into chaos, reverting to their most primitive state of being.
"Although filmmaker Neil Burger relies on cliches in most of his films, such as 'Forever Friends' and 'Divergent', it is undeniable that he tries to go beyond with 'Voyagers'. Starring names like Colin Farrell, Tye Sheridan and Lily-Rose Depp, the feature film plays with the feeling of emptiness of space to talk about astronauts, on a long mission, who go back and forth between paranoia and madness, not knowing what is real or not, in a desperate scenario. Although it has obviousness in its core, with some characters a bit too shallow, 'Voyagers: Instinct and Desire' knows how to provoke and, who knows, take you out of your comfort zone while watching the movie about these astronauts, almost all teenagers, losing control in the middle of nowhere."
