Following the destruction of their ship, young Willy is separated from his parents with whom he traveled through space. His rescue capsule lands on a wild and unexplored planet. With the help of Buck, a survival robot, he will have to hold on until the arrival of a rescue mission. Meanwhile, Willy, Buck and Flash, an alien creature with whom they become friends, are discovering the planet, its fauna, its flora...but also its dangers.

O estilo de animação não deve em nada aos da Sony Pictures Animation (de 'Tá Chovendo Hambúrguer'), Blue Sky ('A Era do Gelo') e até a Pixar (com 'O Bom Dinossauro' como principal referência). O ar é inocente e agradável, fechando o belo conjunto do longa-metragem. "Terra Willy: Planète inconnue" is an animation to entertain children and adults, evoking positive messages about family, friendship and, above all, showing that there is a beautiful world beyond technological gadgets, with many colors and fun in outdoor activities. The animation style does not owe anything to Sony Pictures Animation (from "Tá Chovendo Hambúrguer"), Blue Sky ("Ice Age") and even Pixar (with "The Good Dinosaur" as the main reference). The air is innocent and pleasant, closing the beautiful set of the feature film."
