The story of how one of the world's most popular video games found its way to players around the globe. Businessman Henk Rogers and Tetris inventor Alexey Pajitnov join forces in the USSR, risking it all to bring Tetris to the masses.
"Today, everyone and their grandparents have played Tetris or at least heard about the famous video game, one of the most popular in history and still current. However, few know the story behind it, a curious trajectory that runs parallel to the technological and political career between capitalist and communist blocs during the Cold War. Tetris, exclusive to Apple TV+ starring Taron Egerton (Rocketman) is a film inspired by this story, and even though it takes some creative liberties to move towards the terrain of the political thriller, it's quite enjoyable. Its focus on Henk Rogers' (Egerton) perspective as the "trailblazer" of Tetris doesn't always work, but if you want to learn more about this peculiar story, it's a good starting point."
