Ellie tries to mend her marriage with her husband Marcus after a brief encounter with an old friend, David, only to find that David is more dangerous and unstable than she'd realized.
"Movie with the smell, look and feel of Tyler Perry productions, like 'The Limit of Betrayal' and 'Acrimony'. However, it's not Perry behind this Netflix production, but Peter Sullivan -- from the much-criticized 'Secret Obsession', also from Netflix. Here, the filmmaker takes advantage of that Tyler Perry aura to tell the story of a couple who must recover from a crisis after a friend enters their lives. The direction is weak, the script takes advantage of dozens of shortcuts and the story has nothing original in its conception. However, 'Fatal Affair' is one of those thrillers that will please people looking for some kind of uncommitted entertainment -- in this case, the typical suspense. More demanding viewers may be disappointed. But those who just want to pass the time will certainly find a quick and simple option in 'Fatal Affair'."
