"Netflix exclusive movie, the suspense 'Desaparecida' had a terrible reception from critics and audiences, who considered it drowsy and unoriginal. Despite this, the streaming service is betting again on this criminal story in 'La Corazonada'. Here, however, director Alejandro Montiel takes a few steps back and talks about the origin of some elements prior to the events of the first movie. It's called a 'prequel'. Obviously, the tone remains the same: the pace is slow, things are a bit confusing and the script moves forward in fits and starts. However, for those who liked 'Desaparecida', they will find here a relief to finally see some nebulous things solved. It's still not a great police movie. But it should please those who are looking for a mundane story of traditional investigation and criminal cinema formulas in a different Argentina."
