Who was the real John DeLorean? To some, he was a renegade visionary who revolutionized the automobile industry. To others, he was the ultimate con man.
"John DeLorean, for a variety of reasons, can be considered one of the greatest names in automotive industry history and a major contributor to pop culture. At GM, the engineer created the Pontiac GTO, among other innovations. With an extravagant personality, he was later forced to leave the company - and founded his own car factory, DeLorean Motor Company. In a story of ups and downs, he created a car that would later become beloved by many and the main piece of the 'Back to the Future' franchise (the DMC-12). However, he also fell into the hands of the FBI when he was accused of drug trafficking and was caught for fraud and tax evasion. 'Framing John Delorean' tells this whole story in a peculiar way, mixing images and period photos; testimonies and friends, collaborators and family; and also reenacting some events, with a cast that includes Alec Baldwin and Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin.
