In 1950s New York, a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette's Syndrome ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend.
"Edward Norton's second feature film as a director in nearly twenty years is his passion project, which he has been fighting to bring to the screen since reading Jonathan Lethem's eponymous novel. The runtime of 'Motherless Brooklyn' may be a challenge for many viewers, but this is a 1940s-style noir crime drama with a very interesting and unique approach. The performances are phenomenal, particularly Edward Norton's. The cast includes stars like Bruce Willis ('Die Hard'), Willem Dafoe ('The Lighthouse') and Alec Baldwin ('Blue Jasmine'), plus rising star Gugu Mbatha-Raw ('Black Mirror')."
