A group of friends travels to a beach house on an island on the brazilian seaside to celebrate the end of high school. However, their drollery and parties are cut short by the feeling that the place shelters an unfathomable horror.
"'The Yellow Night' is a horror produced in Paraíba that was selected for the prestigious Rotterdam Festival, as well as IndieLisboa and New Horizons. In the story, we have a group of seven young people who go to an isolated island to enjoy the beach, but end up engulfed by strange nightly events that challenge the quantum logic of space-time, in a metaphor about our existences and memories in a world flooded by technology. The photography takes advantage of the sodium vapor lamps of public lighting (bringing the yellow color of the title). This, in conjunction with other elements of the script, creates a somber atmosphere. Watch without expecting a resolution or explanations. It is, more than anything, a movie about the journey."
