"This Indian movie uses a real-life context, the Nipah virus outbreak which killed 17 people in 2018, to tell a fictional story about a group of people coming together to face the danger. Well-made, 'Virus' uses the tricks of a thriller to hook the audience. It is worth noting that this is not a traditional Bollywood production: it is a Malayalam-language Malabar movie, known for its more realistic storylines. It is definitely worth watching, especially for opening our eyes to a different kind of cinema than what we are used to."
