A young woman, while attempting to save her father during a category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators.
"'Crawl' uses the elements of "monster movies", a subgenre of horror that pits humans against beasts, to become one of the surprises of 2019. Perhaps Alexandre Aja hasn't repeated the brutality that characterized him in films like 'High Tension', but this movie definitely has a bit of that impact. The feature film is simple and was designed for quick consumption - and that is its point in favor, because its short plans and its accelerated rhythm make it exciting and fun, despite walking the thin line between horror and ridiculousness."
