Why watch this film?
Filmmaker Jason Baffa examines the personal bonds and dynamic relationships that form between golfers and caddies.
"Golf viewers will be the ones to judge if this documentary about caddies improves their knowledge of the sport itself. But in the name of those who are not as interested, "Loopers: The Caddie's Long Walk" could be moderately interesting. Bill Murray, whose affinity for the game goes far beyond his starring role in "Caddyshack," is a cheerful narrator as director Jason Baffa gives it an ingenious touch, using graphics in the style of Monty Python to tell some iconic myths or anecdotes. The great success of the documentary is to balance the love for the game and the expectations of the audience, as well as cautiously recognizing the gender, class, and race issues related to the history of this sport."
