"The Spanish director Carlos Vermut ("Magical Girl"), "Quién te cantará" is an ambitious melodrama that mixes the psychoanalysis of its characters (think "Persona" by Ingmar Bergman), a game of identities, and a look at celebrity cults, all with the beautiful photography of Eduard Grau ("A Single Man") as a backdrop. The film was nominated for seven Goya Awards and won one, for best new actress (Eva Llorach)."
