The Tribulations of a Man on the Verge of Life

The Tribulations of a Man on the Verge of Life is an Australian-Western Comedy about The Wanderer - a working-class man, who discovers his only companion, Beverly, has been killed. After he takes revenge on the man who killed her, he's caught by a corrupt lawman - The Constable, and is subjected to an absurd, barely legal "trial". The Wanderer attempts to bargain for his freedom but is instead sentenced to life in prison. The trial is interrupted by two quarrelling brothers who want to claim the prize of The Wanderer's bounty, despite the fact that he's already been caught. The trial is complicated further when it's interrupted again, this time by the man who killed Beverly. After a shootout occurs, The Wanderer is left with a choice: kill himself or be sent to prison for the rest of his life.
