"This Is Ballroom is a Brazilian documentary that explores Rio de Janeiro’s Ballroom scene, where young LGBTQ+ people of color recreate the voguing movement, 50 years after its emergence in New York. The film reveals both the individual struggles of the artists and the strength of the community that shapes this unique space. Directed by Juru Vitã, the film offers an in-depth look at the art, drama and resilience of Rio’s Ballroom culture."
