A young man, plagued by the music in his head, has to come to terms with an uncertain future while balancing love, family and Brazilian culture in Newark, New Jersey.
"There are countless stories about aspiring artists chasing their dreams against the economic, familial, and romantic pressures of a world seeking conformity. Compared to them, Música isn't very different. However, being partially inspired by the experiences of Rudy Mancuso—a Brazilian-descendant internet celebrity diagnosed with synesthesia—this film has highly imaginative visual elements. The story revolves around a boy navigating all these pressures in his New Jersey neighborhood while finding romance in Isabella, another girl of Brazilian descent. A highly entertaining surprise that leverages Mancuso's unique sensibility, who also writes and directs."
