Horror invades the concrete corridors of a cursed apartment complex on the outskirts of Madrid.
"From Spanish filmmaker Jaume Balagueró (La Casa de Papel), Venus is a sensational horror proposal that bets on both blood splattering in the style of a slasher, as well as a peculiar lovecraftian sensibility à la Mandy. The story follows a young nightclub dancer (Ester Expósito from Élite) who is wounded after stealing a suitcase full of ecstasy. Taking refuge in her sister and niece's apartment, she soon discovers that there are even more sinister supernatural forces at play. The plot gets a bit stuck between its subplot of mobsters and its cosmic evil, which makes this last aspect not as powerful as it could be. Nonetheless, it's still an hallucinatory journey that will leave all genre fans satisfied."
