An ambitious young woman finds followers and fame when she poses as the survivor of a deadly attack, but she soon learns that online notoriety comes with a terrible price.
"Enough has been said about the culture of internet influencers, driven by an almost pathological need for attention. It's hard to add something new and relevant to the topic and 'Not Okay' may not be able to - but that's not its intention either. The story follows a young woman, Danni Sanders (Zoey Deutch, from 'Zombieland: Double Tap'), who, with no direction or prospects in her life, decides to fake a trip to Paris with fake photos. However, everything gets complicated when a terrorist attack hits the French capital, so everyone thinks she is a survivor and a heroine, and Danni decides to continue the lie to the last consequences. Even though 'Not Okay' does not present new plots on the subject, it is an incisive and funny satire, with a great performance from the always fascinating Deutch."
