""Wrong Turn" is a horror franchise that marked a generation in the early 2000s, with its dark and violent films. "Wrong Turn: The Foundation" is the movie that promises to revive the cinesserie and bring it to new audiences, as well as attract fans of the classic horror franchise. With a slightly different approach, the new feature film tells the story of a group of six friends who travel the trails of the Appalachian Mountains region in the US. During the journey, the young people end up leaving the path and realize that they are not alone in the forest. With strange and malicious presences roaming through the woods, the six must strive to survive the threat and get out alive from that forest. The film chooses not to use the acclaimed villains present in previous productions of the franchise - disfigured cannibals hiding in the forest. Instead, they use a more modernized and standardized approach in Slasher films, inserting a sinister pagan cult. Horror movie fans should delight, with sequences of gore and constant tension in the air."
