Poland, 1985: Not satisfied with the result of a murder investigation, a young officer in communist Warsaw sets out on his own to discover the truth.
"Polish crime drama from Netflix, following a detective investigating a crime on their own while trying to understand their own sexuality. The feature has an impressive quality and a good story, a bit slow but that develops in 112 minutes. The original title, 'Hyacinth', refers to the codename of the files kept on LGBTQ people, known as "pink files". The purpose of these documents was for officials to be able to identify and arrest such individuals. The production brings an approach about this, which occurred in Poland in the 1980s. With a story that speaks of fear and power, while also discussing the sense of right and wrong. The director, Piotr Domalewski, worked as co-creator on the series 'Sexify', which is from Netflix and directed some episodes."
