A retired Special Forces officer is trapped in a never-ending time loop on the day of his death.
"The story behind 'Boss Level' is curious. It started back in the 2010s, when brothers Chris and Eddie Borey presented the movie project to filmmaker Joe Carnahan. The connection was instant. They shook hands and went out looking for a studio to make the project. It happened to be 20th Century Fox in 2012. Since then, however, things have taken a while to get going: Fox went looking for a new owner (which would later be Disney, years later) and abandoned the project, which ended up being independently funded in 2017. In 2018, they filmed everything. And only three years later, almost like a wounded hero in battle, 'Boss Level' arrived in Brazil. And it's no wonder. After all, the good story of the feature film follows a man (Frank Grillo) who relives the day of his death over and over again. But nothing like Groundhog Day, as in 'Feitiço do Tempo'. Here, despite the similar premise, we have exploding helicopters, action rolling loose and bombs here and there, with the added bonus of director Joe Carnahan simply not taking himself seriously, ensuring good scenes of Grillo and Mel Gibson. It's not an original or memorable movie, but it definitely serves as a fun pastime."
