A music producer fallen from grace finds an artist - Ji Hoon who has everything needed to make it big and discovers the one thing holding him back, paralyzing stage fright.
"Starring also Korean rapper Park Chan-yeol, who is part of the K-pop group EXO, 'The Box' is one of those movies that know how to mix music and emotion like few others. After all, debut director Yang Jeong-Woong hits the mark in the drama when telling the story of an aspiring singer (Chan-yeol) who is discovered on the streets of Seoul by a businessman (Jo Dal-Hwan) who wants to make him one of the biggest names in Korean music and, perhaps, international. However, in the middle of the way, there is a problem: the singer played by Chan-yeol has a terrible fear of the stage. Although the film ignores some delicate particularities of the South Korean music industry, 'The Box' knows how to tell this story of overcoming with a truly memorable soundtrack - showing the best not only in K-pop, but also in more melodic and acoustic music. Good movie not only for fans of the Korean pop wave, but also for those who admire good stories of victory and overcoming."
