"Influenced by the punk culture of the 1970s, 'Cruella' brings the origin story of the iconic villain from '101 Dalmatians' - Glenn Close gave life to her in the Disney live-action of the 1990s and it was a brilliant performance. This time, we see Emma Stone give life to Cruella de Vil and, once again, we have an interpretation of the character that manages to exceed expectations. Another highlight is Emma Thompson, who fits so well in the role that it is almost impossible not to like her. In the story, we follow Estella's dream, before becoming Cruella and becoming a recognized name in the fashion world. The feature has an exaggerated story - and almost gets lost - but manages to save itself in its development. 'Cruella' has a grandiose visual impact, costumes, makeup and hair are impeccable."
