Tati is 14 years old and lives in a humble house by the river, with her father, who barely takes care of her. She is an emotionally unstable and rather manly child, who doesn't fit in her environment. Obsessed with being Boat rower, every day she unsuccessfully tries to ride the boat.
"Interesting Argentine "coming of age" film, 'La Botera' tells the story of a pre-adolescent who dreams of taking on one of her father's jobs: that of a boatman. However, in the style of the exceptional director Pablo Giorgelli's film 'Invisible', things don't go as expected: the father sells the boat, life is hard. The periphery of Argentina oppresses. From there, filmmaker Sabrina Blanco traces the arduous journey of the protagonist in a typical Latin drama production. Special mention for the difficult performance of Nicole Rivadero, the protagonist of the film, who knows how to modulate her emotions accurately, adding layers to the feature film."
