A man returns to his home in the Colombian countryside after a long fishing night and discovers that paramilitary forces have killed his two sons and thrown their bodies into the river.
"This is the first feature film of Colombian director Nicolás Rincón Gille, a documentary filmmaker. 'Tantas Almas' deals with the open wounds of the prolonged civil war in Colombia, with an intentionally meditative rhythm and a narration that visually constantly resorts to the point of view of its protagonist, all to emphasize his fear and despair without falling into emotional excesses.
