"This is a movie that attempts to modernize Indian traditions by telling the story of a woman who is deemed crazy for not mourning the death of her husband - when in India, many marriages are arranged. With an independent protagonist who tries to move on with her life even after the marriage ends, the production generates a cultural debate about how a widow should behave towards society and her own family. 'Pagglait' is an interesting feature, especially when we have another type of culture, but still judges women the same way."
