A summer in rural O‘ahu takes an exciting turn for two Brooklyn-raised siblings when a journal pointing to long-lost treasure sets them on an epic adventure with new friends, and leads them to reconnect with their Hawaiian heritage.
"Those familiar with Disney movies certainly know that "ohana" means family in Hawaiian. The word became famous after the success of the cartoon 'Lilo & Stitch' and it's hard to forget its meaning. In 'Finding 'Ohana', we follow an adventure and the backdrop of this is a dysfunctional family literally looking for the link that binds them. The production also speaks about preserving cultural identity and the meaning of this through future generations."
