A young woman is unable to see or hear her mother despite living with her in the same house. With the help of an eccentric psychiatrist she learns to grow up and take control of her future despite not being able to see what's in front of her.
"This movie has a really curious premise. A woman inexplicably can't see her mother and her family turns to a doctor to try and understand what is happening. Then, they discover that it's not just her mother she can't see and that there is a kind of selection created by her mind. An engaging narrative is developed from this idea. The whole cast is excellent, but Shannon Tarbet and Aidan Turner deserve extra mention for bringing a convincing psychological realism to something that walks the thin line between drama and fantastical realism - all built with great balance. Turner is devastatingly convincing in his character who was looking to disappear, but ends up changing his mind. 'Love is Blind' is an incredibly interesting and creative production."
