In World War II, soldier Jack deserts his unit and to meet his wife Eva in an isolated village in the mountains. She moved there to work in a factory owned by an evil man. Secret police arrives and it seems that the couple's time is up.
"When it seems like there is no more room for dramas about and set in World War II, 'Little Kingdom' comes along. Directed by Peter Magat ('In the Dark'), the feature film hits the mark by mixing three emotions: the horrors of war, the love that persists even in dark times, and the desperation to escape the enemy. With standout performances from Alicia Agneson ('Vikings') and Lachlan Nieboer ('Downton Abbey'), the feature film knows how to navigate between the different feelings that arise with this story that mixes escapism, romance, and thriller. A truly original movie, which takes advantage of all its good moments, and should please fans of World War II."
