"It's a shame that 'The One and Only Ivan' wasn't released in theaters due to the new coronavirus pandemic, as it would have been amazing to see it on the big screen. Especially since the production has excellent visual effects - the animals made with computer graphics are so well executed that they look real. The technical quality is really one of the great merits of the film. Apart from that, the story is enchanting and this becomes even more moving when you discover that it was based on real facts. Yes, there was a gorilla who lived for 27 years in a mall in Washington and inspired the homonymous children's book by K. A. Applegate."
