Santa's daughter must take over the family business when her father retires and her brother, who is supposed to inherit the Santa role, gets cold feet.
"There are Christmas comedy movies suitable for the whole family, from the tasty 'Christmas Chronicles' to the recent 'The Christmas Invention' and, of course, classics like 'Home Alone' or 'The Grinch'. The premise of a successor to Santa Claus is not new (there are 'The Santa Clause' or 'Santa Baby' as examples), but 'Noelle' tries to give a more contemporary touch by raising the idea that the mantle is assumed by a woman. The movie has a simple and unpretentious plot, which makes it somewhat forgettable in the Christmas cinematic repertoire, despite the considerable charisma and comic touch of Anna Kendrick and Bill Hadder. In the end, however, you can have a few laughs and pass the time."
