"No, this South African production is not the homonymous adaptation of Frank Miller's comics. In fact, 'Sin City' is more like a new 'Fifty Shades of Grey' than anything else. After all, the plot of this drama-suspense-romance is straight to the point: a couple too focused on work and without time for love decides to take a turn in the romance and spice things up. From there, with an aesthetic reminiscent of the Mr. Grey movie franchise, 'Sin City' plays with genre boundaries by dealing with a story that talks about romance, while bringing a pinch of drama in the pains of its characters and an unexpected suspense in the middle - just like 'Fifty Shades Darker', which has that lost police plot in its development. Obviously, 'Sin City' is not a movie for everyone. You have to be open to accept some plot holes, mechanical performances and a generic environment. But those who are orphaned of new stories from Mr. Grey, will surely find here a well-made comfort and that fulfills what it promises."
