The Fanatic

"Many consider 'The Fanatic' not only one of the worst movies of John Travolta's career (from 'Grease' and 'Saturday Night Fever'), but also one of the worst released internationally in 2019. And, indeed, it is a complicated movie, since it speaks about obsession and violence in a not very deep way and without the necessary amplitude. But for those who want a passing fun with a plot that reminds (a lot!) the excellent 'Misery', 'The Fanatic' can be a good entertainment. After all, with Travolta transformed into the screen, the feature film plays with the limits of obsession and blind fanaticism. It's one of those movies that invite the viewer to embrace their problems, understand their flaws and, thus, have fun without worrying too much about what the movie can or could have done. An unpretentious fun that assumes its bizarreness."
