After their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend.
"Adam Sandler has three faces in cinema. In one, he is a dramatic actor and takes risks on bold projects like 'Uncut Gems' and 'Punch-Drunk Love'. In another, he bets on family-friendly and sympathetic comedies, sometimes romantic, such as 'Click' and 'Just Go With It'. Finally, there are those productions of outrageous humor that work for specific audiences, such as 'Grown Ups' and 'That's My Boy'. In 'Grown Ups', one of the most criticized comedies of Sandler alongside 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan', we see a mixture of the last two styles. There is a family feel, these five childhood friends who reunite. However, Dennis Dugan's direction does not shy away from embracing the ridiculous and the absurd, with moments of total and strong embarrassment. It's a strange movie, full of flaws. But in the end, it should please those looking for Adam Sandler bringing back this bolder humor."
