The Silence of the Marsh

"Directed by Asturian filmmaker Marc Vigil ('El ministerio del tiempo'), 'El silencio del pantano' is an ambitious crime thriller in excess, as its intersection of plots ends up being a bit confusing. Based on the literary debut of writer Juanjo Braulio, the film works as a structure in which homicides cross with ambition and corruption of the highest ranks of power, but the story also speaks of the immersion of the artist in his creative production, taken to the last consequences (something that will certainly remind you of Spike Jonze's 'Adaptation'). The work of lead actor Pedro Alonso stands out, who takes full advantage of the capacity to disturb us that he has already shown in 'La casa de papel', although actress Carmina Barrientos also stands out."
