Why watch this film?
James Bond uncovers a nuclear plot while protecting an oil heiress from her former kidnapper, an international terrorist who can't feel pain.
""The World Is Not Enough" is, most likely, the lowest point of Pierce Brosnan's run as James Bond. Not that the movie isn't fun, doesn't have curious tech gadgets or breathtaking action scenes. It's all there. It's just wrapped in a script that isn't good, about 007's need to protect a rich heiress - in a story that, at certain moments, reminds one of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Even the Russians, the enemies of the past, are brought back, now transformed into terrorists. Anyway, it still counts for having Brosnan in action and for some good sequences, plus a great theme song performed by the band Garbage."
