Astronaut loses touch with reality after a transcendent space mission.
Trailer
Why watch this film?
Astronaut Lucy Cola returns to Earth after a transcendent experience during a mission to space, and begins to lose touch with reality in a world that now seems too small.
"Directed by Noah Hawley, the renowned creator of the series 'Fargo' (inspired by the Coen Brothers' homonymous movie) and 'Legion' (based on Marvel's 'X-Men' world), 'Lucy in the Sky' is a movie that, faithful to the science fiction genre, aims to present deep questions about human existence - in this case, understanding the insignificance of humanity in the great universe. However, the script puts much more emphasis on its dramatic side - based on the true story of astronaut Lisa Nowak and her controversial involvement with her colleague William Oefelein - to the point of falling into melodrama, which earned harsh criticism from the press. Nevertheless, as always, it is worth seeing Natalie Portman's performance as the protagonist."
