1920s radio operator, Carlo Volontè, experiences the grit of war and captivity in Africa, post-El Alamein battle, before returning home in 1946.
Carlo Volontè, Born in 1921, talks about his experience of war in Africa. Volontè enlisted in 1940, after the training procedure was assigned to the Division Aries and sent to Africa, where he fought as a radio operator, with tanks 75/18. After the battle of El Alamein, he was captured in Tunis. He returned home in 1946.
