Samsara is the Buddhist cycle of death and reincarnation. From the temples of Laos, we will accompany a soul in its transit from one body to another through the bardo.
"Samsara presents an immersive, dreamlike journey in which a young Buddhist monk accompanies an elderly woman on her final journey toward rebirth, reading daily the Bardo Thödol, the sacred guide to the transition between death and the next life. Nominated for the Encounters Award at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival and winner of the Jury Prize, the film offers a unique cinematic experience, half film and half guided meditation."
