Trailer
Why watch this film?
To find a shelter dog he befriended, a 17-year-old boy escapes a juvenile detention center and is joined on his quest by his older brother.
"Touching the viewer with a story of friendship between a human and an animal, specifically a dog, is a common, sensitive and highly effective resource (ask 'Juntos para Sempre'). Therefore, it cannot be said that 'Diecisiete' is innovative or out of the ordinary. Still, the movie is genuinely beautiful, with a lovely message about life. Spanish director Daniel Sánchez Arévalo presents with grace and tenderness a relationship between siblings in a road movie that is ideal to watch as a family."
