"In 1971, after the cancellation of his Hollywood TV series 'The Green Hornet', Bruce Lee was cast as the lead in a major Hong Kong cinema release, 'Tang shan da xiong'. The movie was an instant success, not only reviving Lee's career but also resurrecting a subgenre within action films: kung-fu movies. Although it may not compare to today's productions, this film is a (fun) essential piece of cinema history, which has served as a reference for filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino and the Wachowskis."
