"In terms of pure escapism and free of pretense, "Megatubarão" delivers what it promises. With a plot and performances that don't take themselves too seriously, this movie offers action in the purest blockbuster style (with a dash of terror thrown in). The protagonist is Jason Statham ('Parker'), a familiar face in this type of production. If you don't have high expectations and want almost two hours of entertainment, this movie is for you."
