A talented young writer (Jenna Ortega) embarks on a creative odyssey when her teacher (Martin Freeman) assigns a project that entangles them both in an increasingly complex web. As lines blur and their lives intertwine, professor and protégé must confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear.
"Miller's Girl is a controversial thriller starring Jenna Ortega (best known for her role in Wednesday) and Martin Freeman (from The Hobbit). In the story, he plays a charismatic and intelligent teacher facing a turbulent time in his marriage, who begins to receive advances from the young student played by Ortega. From there, the film takes on a '90s vibe, with the two becoming involved without knowing how to handle the emotions that arise. The ending is somewhat outdated, placing the blame on the woman without much remorse, but it works for those looking for a film to pass the time and see how the story unfolds."
