"Released during the pandemic, the first Extraction, with Chris Hemsworth, became one of the most successful action movies in Netflix history. For the sequel, director Sam Hargrave sets out to do "more": more action, more explosions, more fights, and more context for the protagonist, mercenary Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), who now has to embark on a dangerous mission to extract a mafia family from prison. While it succeeds in being more spectacular, Extraction 2 fails to provide greater depth to its protagonist, much of which is due to an inexperienced handling of the narrative pace, which simply breaks when the script tries to delve deeper into this part of the story. If you liked the first one, this sequel will be phenomenal for you. Otherwise, you may want to let it pass."
