"This movie starts with a phrase that sets the tone for the plot: "every love story is a ghost story". 'The In Between' follows Tessa (Joey King, from 'Kissing Booth') after an accident that takes the life of her boyfriend Skylar (Kyle Allen) and leaves her devastated. However, she still feels his presence. It's a plot that discusses the power of the connections we make with people and also grief. The production gets a bit complicated as it's quite clear in the narrative that Tessa would like to end her life to be reunited with Skylar, in a romanticized death that is extremely problematic. So, trigger warning for some viewers."
