Why watch this film?
On March 21st, 1945, the British Royal Air Force set out on a mission to bomb Gestapo's headquarters in Copenhagen. The raid had fatal consequences as some of the bombers accidentally targeted a school and more than 120 people were killed, 86 of whom were children.
"Based on facts, 'Skyggen i mit øje' is a Danish war drama inspired by a real tragedy: the death of 120 people - 86 of them children - who lost their lives when British Air Force bombs accidentally hit a school, during a mission to attack the Gestapo headquarters in Copenhagen, during World War II. The narrative follows the stories of various characters, telling the tragedy from several angles, creating a powerful and well-produced war movie, with a narrative that could be less scattered, but still poignant."
