In the plot, which has touches of 'The Witch' and 'The Blair Witch', the feature film follows the journey of a scientist and a forest police officer who, while the world seeks a cure against a dangerous virus, venture into the forest on a journey that takes sinister turns. Although it has the problems seen in Wheatley's previous films, such as a predictable script and laziness in the realization, 'In The Earth' hits the mark by creating a tense atmosphere with a psychedelic touch."
