A showdown decades in the making brings the Donovan family legacy full circle as they find themselves drawn back to Boston. Struggling to overcome their violent upbringing, their fierce love for each other keeps them in the fight.
"After seven seasons, the acclaimed Showtime series brilliantly starring Liev Schreiber was canceled - leaving a drastic ending that offered a great hook for a continuation. Although the production of an eighth season was not possible, at least fans could receive a movie (which is more than most cases of cancellation). 'Ray Donovan: The Movie' is not an exceptional work, but it does its job very well with a surprisingly short time. The film resolves conflicts that were left in the air, as well as offering a worthy ending to its protagonist, taking up conflicts established since the beginning of the series - and thus putting a final point in its trajectory and offering fans a fair and necessary closure."
