"In Sarah Suco's second feature film, 'Los Iluminados' ('The Dazzled'), the French director investigates the problem of religious fanaticism through the eyes of a young family that gets lost when they enter a Christian community. The story is told from the point of view of the eldest daughter, Camille, an adolescent who loves the circus, but everything changes when her parents start to give their lives and wills to the care of the spiritual leader of the group, who distances them from their families and society itself, and she, at 12 years old, immediately perceives that something is wrong. 'Los iluminados' was part of the 24th French Film Tour, and is based on the director's personal story."
