A young woman returns to her small hometown intent on killing her abusive father only to discover someone murdered him the day before. As the girl searches for answers, she uncovers a family legacy more dangerous than she'd imagined.
"Starring Bella Thorne ('The Babysitter', 'Duff: You Know, Have or Are'), 'Girl' is a suspense movie that tells the story of a girl (played by Thorne) who returns to the town she was born in seeking revenge against her abusive father. However, she discovers someone has killed him the day before and, while searching for answers, finds herself under the control of a sinister sheriff played by the established Mickey Rourke ('Iron Man 2', 'The Wrestler') and discovers things about her family she never imagined. The movie marks the directorial debut of Chad Faust, known for his work as an actor (the biggest highlight being the series 'The 4400'). It's an intense suspense full of twists and action, being a good pick for the weekend."
