Paris, the late 1960s. Madame Claude is at the head of a flourishing business dedicated to prostitution that gives her power over both the french political and criminal worlds. But the end of her empire is closer than she thinks.
"Interesting historical drama that mixes crime, suspense, and romance into one plot. In 'Madame Claude', we follow the titular character during the golden years of Paris in the late 1960s. At the time, Madame Claude was at the head of a prosperous prostitution business, which gave her power over the French political and criminal world. However, her unusual empire is coming to an end and Madame Claude must move quickly to avoid succumbing to the powerful people full of secrets. Good direction and screenplay by Sylvie Verheyde ('Stella'), who knows how to make the plot intense and delicate in equal measures. Also noteworthy is Karole Rocher as the protagonist of the feature film, alternating between moments of suspense, tension, and drama."
